I realize that we are well into 2012, but I could not post anything about Christmas until I posted about Thanksgiving. It is one of my MOST favorite holidays. This year we went to a pie party on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It was so fun! I made a Mississippi Mud Pie and a Key Lime Pie. Below are some pictures of them!
The Mississippi Mud pie was my favorite of the two, but let's face it, how can lime go up against chocolate? We spent Thanksgiving Day with some friends from our ward. They cooked the turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and a couple of pies and I made rolls, corn, broccoli casserole and mashed potatoes. It was quite the feast! We had tons of leftovers and ate on them all weekend.
On Friday we put up our Christmas tree. I got through all the lights and noticed it was uneven so I had to re-wrap the top half. Overall it turned out great, I think! The kids loved it and when we turned on the lights, sister said "OOoohh". It was very sweet!
